Flooded Street in Westchester, IL 7-24-2010 6:30 a.m.

Our street in Westchester, IL at 6:30 a.m. We're lucky in that the water is not up to our house YET, but our neighbors on both sides are flooded and across the street, in their backyards, they've got over 4 feet of water. Cars are flooded out. Guess what??? Our area isn't covered by flood insurance!!! We aren't even in a 100 year flood zone according to when we bought the house 4 years ago.

it reached the middle of my street around 5 30 am i live a couple blocks away from salt creek r basement got 3-4 ft of water

It was 3 feet deep on Gladstone in the middle of the street I walked from Gardner to Britten school the water was at bristol at 10 pm by 12 it was GONE

You mean your not required by your lender / mortgage company to have flood insurance right ???

One can always buy flood insurance
