A Kind Of Loving [1962] Part 3/11

A young man, inching his way up from working-class traditions via a white-collar job, finds himself trapped by the frightening reality of his girlfriend's pregnancy and is forced into marrying her and moving in with his mother-in-law due to a housing shortage in their Northern England town.

The film won the Golden Bear award at the Berlin Film Festival in 1962.

@Nulanula :-) I'm afraid at 9d (iirc) I found them a tad expensive (it were grim up North). However, the extra outlay was to an extent offset by the fact that the packaging chosen by Paynes was particularly manageable in the cinema context. Well done them for spotting that niche.

@sludgefingers Yeah, God bless those Poppetts. I think they were the thing to buy because they were cheap and seemed to be a lot in the box, so you felt money well spent.
