this truly screams 'BOWIE' he's really in his element and enjoying what he's doing. it's a great song and he has a hell of a reason to be proud of it. the performance is also one of the best i've seen of him, and i've seen most of 'em. thank-you so much for putting this video up ziggiestarlet

thanks, this is really fantastic , one of the best Live tv performance of a solo-artist ever...I saw it a million times and never being bored. Diamond dogs is maybe one of his best work : t's amazing this new phase of his carreer after the glam period.

I love LOVE this performance! Bowie is just mezmorizing - a unique prolific artist. Shame this tour isn't out on dvd!! I love all periods of bowie, but '74-'77 the transformation from diamond dogs, young americans, station to station and low. I just find facinating

Well... Dont do hard drugs... Excessively. Drugs to an extent have played a very important part in musical history. You know that though.

An amazing piece of pop history, along with Bowie are Luther Vandross, Carlos Alomar and Earl Slick. The whole band kicked ass! Bowie had already abandoned Ziggy and was transitioning to his blue-eyed soul Young American persona. This is a funkier rendition than the "Diamond Dogs" version of "1984," which is softened by a string section. The backing vocals here are the best, shades of "Young Americans."
