*Joe's P.O.V.*
I started walking towards her, but the moment I did, she turned away running.
"Sam wait!" I called down the hallway but it was no use. She just kept running.
"See ya sexy." Mindy said, blowing me a kiss while she walked away smirking.
Sam was now out of sight, but I knew I couldn't let her get away that easy. I had to explain to her what really happened. I struggled trying to run through the school hallways, but I was determined to find Sam.
*Sam's P.O.V.*
I ran home with tears in my eyes. I knew there was only one person who I could talk to who would be able to help me. I quickly threw my things on the floor and turned on my computer.
LivexLaughs: Hey! Haven't talked to you for a while.
Ponedxx: I need your help! It's really important!
LivexLaughs: Why?! What's wrong?!
Ponedxx: It's... it's... my boyfriend.
LivexLaughs: What's wrong? I thought he was still away.
Ponedxx: No, he came back early a few days ago and I was so happy but...
LivexLaughs: But?...
Ponedxx: ...but today I saw him kissing another girl! :'(
LivexLaughs: What?! You have got to be kidding me.
Ponedxx: I wish, but I saw him kissing this slutty girl that I hat and they were doing it up against MY locker!
LivexLaughs: Ouch! But it sounded like her really liked you... are you sure you didn't just misunderstand?
Ponedxx: What is there to not understand?! I saw them kissing!
LivexLaughs: I know but maybe...
Ponedxx: But maybe what? What do you think I should do?
LivexLaughs: I think you should talk to him before you start jumping to conclusions.
Ponedxx: He did try and talk to me after I saw...
LivexLaughs: Exactly. You need to at least hear what he has to say.
Ponedxx: I suppose you're right. It just... it still hurts you know?
LivexLaughs: It'll be alright. I'll stay online all night if I have to. Just know that I'll be right there if you need to talk to someone afterwards.
Ponedxx: Ok thanks... I knew you'd be able to help :)
LivexLaughs: But of course ;)
Ponedxx: Haha... see ya.
I logged off and quickly put on my jacket. I stepped outside and walked towards the nearby park. I sat myself down on a bench underneath a tree and looked up at the sky. All I could see were clouds blended together into one large canvas of grey. It was quite appropriate for the depressing mood of the day.
*Joe's P.O.V.*
When I had knocked on Sam's front door, it didn't seem like anyone was home. I rushed up and down the streets looking for any place she might be. When I had reached the park there was no one around... until my eyes landed on something. It was the recognizable olden locks of Sam's hair. I sighed, happy that I had finally found her. I didn't make any noise as I walked up behind her.
I gently rested my hand on her shoulder.
"Hey." I said softly.
She shrugged off my shoulder and when I sat down next to her on the bench, she angled her back towards me.
"Sam..." I sighed. "Please just let me explain."
That caught her attention as she slowly shifted her body towards mine.
"Fine then... explain."
I took a deep breath and began my story. "I was waiting for you at your locker and then this girl named Mindy walked up to me and started throwing herself at me. I kept pushing her away but she just wouldn't leave. You gotta know one thing though, I didn't kiss her... she kissed me."
I watched as Sam got a doubtful look on her face.
"I know from where you were standing it looked bad, but she was kissing me! Sam..." I said turning her head towards me, holding her chin. "You know how important you are to me. I would never want to hurt you... please believe me when I'm telling you the truth." I said with pleading eyes.
It took Sam a moment before she finally spoke. "I believe you." She sighed. "Just promise me you won't go near her again."
"Never again." I replied.
I held Sam's hand and slowly leaned in to kiss her, but she suddenly turned away. I looked at her in confusion.
"Sorry Joe." She said looking down at the ground. "I do believe you, it's just... I need some time."
"Um... alright." I said feeling shocked and disappointed.
While Sam looked at the ground; I still held her hand examining the features on her face. I knew I had made a mistake, but how could I get Sam to trust me again?
At that moment I decided I was determined to gain her trust back... no matter what it takes.
