Woman Dragged During Purse Snatching

Tampa, FL A woman held onto her purse for nearly 40 feet Friday morning, as robbers tried to snatch it in the parking lot of a Sweetbay grocery store.

Video released by the Tampa Police Department shows a 1997 Honda Accord pull up next to 42-year-old Tawlla Killins in broad daylight as she walks through the parking lot of the Sweetbay at 5050 10th Ave. E.

Someone inside the car grabs Killins' purse, and drags her across the parking lot as she holds on.

Thanks to a truck driver, who witnessed the incident, police have determined the car was stolen. Police said they have one suspect in custody afterthe stolen vehicle crashed into a fence at Oregon Avenue and Main Street.

The woman suffered a few cuts and scratches, but she is expected to be OK, police said Friday.
