  • We never intended for the car to make that much power at such a low boost...and yes the lag was horrible...Large Turbos and stroked engines are not an optimum combo. We never posted the 2.5L with the GT42R but that combo made 887whp boost came in at 5K and ended at 10K...The new combo will be posted in the next few weeks. Its an 11.8:1 / 4" bore / aluminum rod / GT42R / 4 x 5500cc injector alky engine...

  • hey where can I see that dyno chart in detail.. interested in seeing what rpm that spooled at, and what ur redline was.

  • We have the dyno chart on file. The GT40 with the 2.7L stroker and 10:1 compression. Full boost was at 4900rpm. Redline was around 7500rpm....The GT42 and our 2.5L with 10:1 gets to full boost at 5200rpm and ends at 9500rpm. Both engines had same cams and heads.

  • OMG SO MUCH LAG LOOK AT THAT POWER BAND THAT SHOULD BE SLOW AFTER ALL whit all that lag shifting and shifting short gear i dont like!

  • lag lag lag....it was still extremely fun on the street....BTW the lag and the short RPM power band is due to the stroke....unless you stay with a small turbo anything more then the stock stroke sucks for a large turbo.

  • you're kidding right? A car that modded it would be set up for boost and not NOS. Besides NOS is dumb it is just for quick HP but when the juice runs out you got nothing. I don't like NOS and I will NEVER run it in my car.

  • could you explain a lil more why the large stroke is a bad combo with a big turbo not sayin your wrong but it seems like a larger stroke could only benfit other then the smaller stroke reving higher seems to me it would just make power sooner
