@gaelicwinds uhhm you said "these rods are meant to be for smaller fish or survival" you may not be bashing it but they are primarily for small fish and portability. but the people at penfishingrods want you to go catch big fish. and yes theyre good for survival once again because of their portability

@gaelicwinds dude look at the world record carp caught on penfishing rod. it was 32 pounds. if you think a 3lb cat is too much you are sorely mistaken.

im not bashing it i love these rods i cary one in my survival pack and i give them to my students they will handle some damn good size fish i landed a 15 lb northern pike on mine long ass fight but it worked

No desrespect to you sir, but I've got a Mr. Walley 7ft medium action rod with a flueger supreme real with 15 lb. spiderwire braided line. I could of got that cat in less then 15 seconds easy because I love catfish as much as the next guy and I love catching the big ones on a small rod a reel, but really when it counts, you'll need a better rod..
