Well, I know you guys are going to be like "do something other than Hillsong!" but I end up playing what I listen to. That happens to be Hillsong the last few weeks. I did have a few other covers planned but they will have to wait until our church studio is finished. I will do a video tour of the studio when it's done too. I used the gear that will be in the studio for this cover actually. I used a Digi 003 Rack+ and expanded it with a Focusrite Octapre MKII. I have changed my tom mics to Sennheiser e604s and I used a MXL pencil condenser on the hats. I also changed the tom heads to Evans EC2s and G1 resos. The rest of my setup is the same and you can find the details in my drum tour video. I really want to hear your opinions on the sound of the set. We are tracking a choir CD soon and I'm just experimenting with stuff. I may have added too much reverb to the snare but if the drums were to be mixed for an actual song, I believe it would be perfect.
