A tribute to those who have suffered at the hands of Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks' crappy service and ludicrous charges.

  • Today i am £6,000 pounds free of Yorkshire Banks lack of duty of care, I got the phone call to tell me that i have no debt with them and next month i will have a credit rating something i've never had for 2 years...i've never had a bad credit rating until Yorkshire Bank destroyed it...but i've got it back so the 1st thing i will do is get a new credit card and and close my Yorkshire Bank credit card down forever....I still hope the ex manager from my old Yorkshire Bank branch burns in hell.

  • @19bootsy68 Kudos to you!! Well done. I bet you feel fantastic.

  • Im at war with Yorkshire Bank over £6,000 debt that is not mine, The CEO of Clydesdale/Yorkshire via my brief and M.P. told me a pack of lies in a letter..to get me from having my story done by two news papers...you know how much the press love banks, at the minute im having a manager phone me one a week to tell me more interesting things on what was not done before hand...she means well but like i told her i'd had more trust in Gary Glitter baby sitting my young daughter than i had in Y.B.

  • @19bootsy68 Keep hassling them! They have been completely useless with me - losing cheques, telling strangers my balance, sending my statements to the wrong address. They also do not care whether they are creating constructive bankruptcy: sending folk deeper into debt with charges, and refusing to allow overdraft facilities that would alleviate the situation.

  • have money in your account and we would not charge you!

  • @michaelscot1984 Well Michael, where to start? On that one point - if you charged (and I wonder whether you really work for clydesdale) what it cost the bank and a bit more, a fiver would be ample. I wouldn't be 8K down. You take no account of clients paying late, and the snowball effect of charges - £35 a time? If you progress farther into the song, you'll see that CB also 'lost' 1k, told someone my balance over the counter and sent my statements to the wrong address for 6 months. Service?

  • Heehee! Very good. I was with BoS since I was a super squirrel and they became a total bunch of sell-sell-sellers. Have since joined the Co-operative Bank and can not recommend them enough! If you live in Glesga, they are in the city centre on Gordon Street.

  • I love how people generalise that you're having trouble with your bank it must be your fault for not having enough cash in the account. All the charges on my account have been a result of banks allowing people to submit Direct Debits on the wrong day, or for the wrong amount, and when you ask for these back due to the "direct debit guarantee" you'll see that 9 out of 10 bankers don't know about the guarantee and the other one don't give a damn unless he/she's selling something!

  • @amoslinz Thank you very much and yes i do..i feel like i've won £6,000, i will be sending a thank you card to the two girls from Clydesdale/Yorkshire who phoned me every week and told me YB had made errors..but i knew i was getting somewhere when C/Y.B. bought the debt back from their debt collectors Monday gone, my sort of pressure worked in the end..;)

  • I wont go into my story on here but Michaelscot1984 needs to burn in hell for his comment...Banks have a duty no matter who you are weather you are rich or poor upper class or working class...and thats a "Duty Of Care" i never got it...it's clear you have not got it...i noticed michaelscot1984 did not relpy to your answer to his comment...you can safely say he works for that bank or a bank...and thats what Yorkshire Bank was doing to me..not replying...but they are now..haha ;~)

  • Too true.

  • yeah !. Anyone who can take the piss out of these parasitic vermin is cool by me. I wish terminal cancer to every member of senior management. Whilst they die - slowly - they can think on how they treat their `valued` customers. They are truly scummy venim of the highest order.
