Wow... that thing gets off the line good... What is the combo? I am in the process of building a 496... 10 to 1, Keith Black pistons, scat crank, 306s solid flat tappet comp cam, 781 heads, with 2.19/1.88 and bowl blend... victor JR, etc. in a 69 Camaro, with a built 700r4, 3200 converter and a 3.90 gear... very hot out of the hole with a 468, i'm sure it will be much worse with the 496... I plan on running pump gas... No power adders, just 850 HP Holley...Don't need no stinkin Nitrous! LOL

@coldgin74 thanks, she does allright for a land yacht thats in street trim 90% of the time. engine is also pump gas 496 with a bulletproof bottom end build, 11:1, RHS 360cc rectangle heads with some port work, Crower custom solid flat tappet cam, ported vic. jr and an 830cfm holley. Plans were for up to a 400 shot of gas so it got splayed main caps, 5140 crank, extreme duty I beam rods, gapless top ring, etc... doubt I'll ever go more than a little 150 shot though at this point.

if you look at my other videos, theres an orange 69 chevelle that has a 489 inch mill I built a few years ago, very similar to the one youre building- GM oval ports with big valves, 10.25:1, comp mutha thumper roller cam, chinese dual plane intake and 800 demon carb. customer wanted torque and nasty idle and thats what he got. made 480/546 on a conservative dyno, no doubt if we did some tuning it would have been better. Torque and response is nasty- turns sideways @40mph with wimpy 3.42s!
