Man Who Held Family Hostage While Claiming To Be Jesus Gets Interviewed

Venel Piervil held his 13,7 year old sisters and mother hostage while claiming to be jesus.Deputies said they were looking for the man all day and Channel 9's Andrea Conklin turned up at his house and found him there.

"Were you claiming you were Jesus?" Conklin asked 24-year-old Venel Piervil.

"It's possible," he said.

Piervil repeatedly suggested to Conklin that he is Jesus and made demands that the world be turned over to him. He remained eerily calm the whole time, even as deputies arrested him.

The suspect's mother, Altagrace Piervil, escaped from the home to call deputies. Just before midnight, deputies arrived and found that the suspect had fled the scene in a 1999 Chevrolet van and had taken his sisters with him.
