2008 Varsity Highlights of the track team in Marshfield High School in Coos Bay, Oregon (the town and school where Steve Prefontaine grew up and ran for).
This was a stellar and very exciting year, with lots of ups and downs. But we finished the season with our boys winning the 5A state championship for the first time in over 100 years. This didn't even happen when Steve Prefontaine was running here. Our girls also did an awesome job. With only 4 representatives at state, they placed 3rd. Song is O Fortuna by Carl Orff.
