Lots of funny parts in this video but Speed Felon is my favorite. Did he write his own dialog for this?

Saw this at the theater when I was 11. Appreciated it much more in my twenties, especially the car salesman. I thought I was gonna go apaplectic with laughter. Still gets me.

Correction: It was "The Hock Shop," not The Pawn Shop.

Spencer Quinn used to perform at a beer bar called "The Pawn Shop," on Sunset near Vine in Hollywood. Saw him there several times in 1968. He was great! This video is his impression of Ralph Williams, an actual car dealer in the San Fernando Valley who advertised on TV. The impression is spot on. Sure miss the old Pawn Shop, and Spencer Quinn.

That car salesman just made my year.

If I was 16 in 1970 I would have brought a 55 Chevy and built a Gasser

I wish I could have bought a cadillac for 35 dollars

Spencer Quinn was a great banjo player (albums, etc). He was also a comedy writer and performer for the first Smothers Brothers summer show. He also was a location manager for movies (like Peter Sellers film 'Being There.'). He passed away in the mid-80s.

Thanks for posting this. Always loved this Disney film. Can anybody tell me more about Spencer Quinn (Speed Felon) in the car commercial bit?
only the traffic is real
