Sanseiru - Shito Ryu Kata

First kata received from Master Ryozo Tsukada by 1996, who actually teach another version. I keep practice it as a souvenir ... The kata's core contain a very good sequence of "close combat's" technique. Its name, "thirty six", remain for me a mystery.

interesting version! do you know if it's tsukada sensei's own, or if not, what lineage it's from?

I will ask him when I see him in a few weeks. His lineage is : Kenwa Mabuni --> Tani --> Kusano + Nanbu. Please note that the low kick must be shorter (right hip kept backward), and the elbow strike more centred.

@asd748wsx : What I think to have understood is : this is the version he first taught, maybe the one he first learned, then as for many others katas he had to conform to a conventional practice. Note that his school's name is Beppa Shito Ryu : "Particular" Shito Ryu :)

in that case, it's possible that this is the sankukai version, since that was the style founded by nanbu sensei before his creation of nanbudo.
