  • I L-O-V-E nickles...And to dig 3 silver nickles in one hunt is spectacular...Congrats man.........I am always trying to find ways to dig more old nickles while digging less and less junk......But those beaver tails have got me......Minelab amkes a Great machine.....The whites are a great machine as well, but for now .I will stick with the Minelabs for another year....Always seems like in your hunts ...You dig more silver with your Explorer..........L.O.L....IT IS a Graet Silver Magnet........

  • TY 219er ,Explorers seem to be better at finding the hard to get silver, Ithink it has alot to do with the way it hits on a target IMHO. An iffy always sounds better on the exp. to me. But Whites makes an awesome detector that anyone can use and find deep stuff with.HH

  • I agree, and I wish I would have kept my Whites XLT...I found many old coins with it ,while swinging fast with a reasurance I would not miss an old coin...Just too much tweeking room in whites machines for Ole (accessive Compulsive me LOL)

I would try new settings most every time out....While my DFX buddy was finding the goodies....I was trying a new tweek...."Not a good thing"..I think if I would have stayed with the XLT factory pre-sets..I would have found more, and not switched brands as often

  • Yea, I know what you mean, I think the customers felt like they needed more settings to tweak, but they went overboard with the DFX in my opinion, I have an old blue Eagle II and its the same as the XLT. Great detector .but it can be overtweaked and become counterproductive. The M6 is simple and finds the deep stuff. I think its the best turn on and go det. out there.

  • The explorer has some tweaks , but its harder to mess up on, than the whites, the exp tweaks are not going to hurt the performance as much, if you over set something you will know it, where with the whites you can hunt all day with bad settings and not realize whats wrong.

    Take Care

  • neat and awesome video! interesting! gota love those silver nickels

  • you guys are right.i use a dfx and it took me along time to get it all figured out but man once i figured it out i wouldnt trade it for nothing.except for mayby a min lab! but cant afford that right now.

  • I think I will dig more targets in the lower right if they are deep and Im using ferrous from now on. I wish the video would have been clearer, the one I showed was just like the first one, never went left to the nickel zone but did line up pretty good on the vertical azimuth for a nickel . Later Vidslayer, HH LaDigger

  • I have even disced out crowncaps before when in ferrous, and that blacks out the area the deep silver nickels hit here on this hunt. It has alot to do with the history of the site , as to how much weird signals I will ttry.

  • I think the sound and depth got me. curiouss enough to see what it was and I have dug some deep iffy nickels here before. I have passed up alot of signals in that part of the screen,I only hunt in smartscreen and Never in digital.
