This is My tribute to Phyllis Hyman. This is sort of a rare song that was recorded in 1982 featuring McCoy Tyner.
Please enjoy.

  • Hi my name is Anna A.Lee and just what to say I will all ways love Phyllis Hyman. She was the number one Lady that started me out on my singing career I thank God for every talent show I won . And it was because of Phyllis She was my inspiration to sing , You need to make some CD's and sell them I would buy them all and I sure I'm not alone on this one. NICE I Love This it brings me back...ONE LOVE Anna A. Lee

  • @leeannsunshine I am so sorry that I am just now getting around to viewing the comments here. I have missed some of the most beautiful words ever said about a truly wonderful woman of soul. Phyllis Hyman was truly a beautiful being on earth and will continue to shine through the darkest clouds during the most darkest of storms.

  • Wow!. Love what you did with the photos. Very talented.

  • Thank you.

  • I am glad that I had this to share with everyone. This is indeed a timeless inspirational piece.

  • Weaponx66,

This almost brought me to tears. Philis was breathtakingly beautiful. It's a shame she couldn't find "the" person to complete her. We must remember the strongest can be that much more weak. Weak in the sense they need someone to lean on and be vulnerable with sometimes. Men just did know how to receive her. How hard can it be to show love and kindness? That's all she ever wanted.

    Thanx for sharing,

    Zheahra

  • OMG I love her so so much, how could she not have known

  • Phillys and McCoy? Fuhgeddabouditt..... just gorgeous!

  • Yes this is true.

  • I believe this was originally a Columbia release... Do you know the name of the album???

    I await your reply...

  • This is a rare gem and I don't know if it's ever been released on CD. McCoy Tyner did not feature the sultry, smooth vocals of the great Phyllis Hyman, but such musical masters as Carlos Santana and Stanley Clarke. Thank you for posting such a hidden treasure.

  • @sheilaraerobinson: What do you mean Yuck???? Girl, you better go on away from here before I wave a chicken foot over a root and the rest of your hair falls out - don't try me...

  • I miss you PH.

  • A new gem i never heard Thank u god for this

  • To whoever posted this: You have no IDEA what you have done for me today. Bless you!
