This almost brought me to tears. Philis was breathtakingly beautiful. It's a shame she couldn't find "the" person to complete her. We must remember the strongest can be that much more weak. Weak in the sense they need someone to lean on and be vulnerable with sometimes. Men just did know how to receive her. How hard can it be to show love and kindness? That's all she ever wanted.

This is a rare gem and I don't know if it's ever been released on CD. McCoy Tyner did not feature the sultry, smooth vocals of the great Phyllis Hyman, but such musical masters as Carlos Santana and Stanley Clarke. Thank you for posting such a hidden treasure.

@leeannsunshine I am so sorry that I am just now getting around to viewing the comments here. I have missed some of the most beautiful words ever said about a truly wonderful woman of soul. Phyllis Hyman was truly a beautiful being on earth and will continue to shine through the darkest clouds during the most darkest of storms.
