Tower Of Power performs the medley of "Oakland Stroke", "Ain't Nothin' Stoppin' Us Now" & "You Ought To Be Havin' Fun" at the Montreux Jazz Festival, July 11, 2008
This is all well done. They build a strong and driving foundation with drums and bass, layer a rhythm guitar over that, bring in horns for harmony, rhythm and punctuation, add a layer of organ/keyboards, and put the vocals as the melody. These guys are professional, practice a lot, and don't miss a beat or a note. Their execution is damn near flawless and the result kicks ass.
I've been a fan for 40 years. Tower of Power is better than ever.
David.. you are the greatest drummer in my book! BUT.....im sorry, cuz that song belongs to Ronnie Beck

@jk1802 This one's called "Stroke '75", was the flipside to "So Wonderful, So Marvelous" 45.
