This is an experiential learning assignment by graduates students in the Educational Multimedia program within the Department of Education at Cal Poly Pomona. I was demonstrating the technique of experiential learning is this assignment with them. The students were each given two words that they had to find representations of and digitally capture during the course of living their everyday lives for one week. The real power of the assignment was the introspections that the students were required to turn in with the photos (not shown in the video). This digital media project is based on the inspiring images that the students submitted and the insight gained through the introspections. Each photo has a short photo description and the word that was assigned to the student is below it. Notice that each description contains a word from the description of the previous photo. Music is "Saeglopour" by Sigur Ros.

  • Awesome example of the introspective aspect that experiential learning brings to students and a project. I plan to share this link with fellow colleagues in a grad class in which our focus is on the benefits of experiential learning. Very artistic. The introspective responses must have been powerful.
