Chuck and Blair are in love with each other. Blair discovers that Chuck has been cheating on her with Jenny. She turns to Serena for comfort.

Chuck apologizes for his behaviour, but Blair refuses to forgive him. She gets even by hooking up with Lord Marcus. Chuck witnesses this and is deeply hurt.

Serena pays a visit to Chuck. She tells him to ask for Blair's forgiveness one more time. Chuck refuses to do so and tries to convince himself to get over Blair. Chuck ends up drowning his emotions in alcohol. Lily sees him drinking and reminds him that Blair will always love him.

Eventually, Chuck and Blair both realize that they cannot live without one another. They forgive each other for their past mistakes.

Chuck plans to take Blair to Tuscany before they head for the Hamptons to reunite with their friends. Blair waits for him, but Chuck doesn't show up.
Heartbroken, she leaves without him.

Now, summer is coming to an end.
Chuck and Blair are both in the Hamptons. What will happen when their paths cross again?
