The information I am offering is what I have learned from personal experience working horses and observing and listening to other people I consider credible horsemen in this traditional style.

"Very little has been written of the method or the history of making a bridle horse, so we have one person's opinion passed on to be second hand information. As the times change so does the environment and the opportunity that allowed these horses to be made. If thee is not some effort made to preserve, honor and pass this tradition on it will become a lost art.

"I hope you will accept the information as my small contribution to this effort. This is not intended to be a complete guide to make a bridle horse, only some guidelines that have helped me. This is not information on how to train your horse, only information on how to use this equipment while riding your horse.

"Horsemanship is not something that can be taught from one person to another without past, present or future experiences with a horse. If you are fortunate enough to draw from the experiences, I wish you all the pleasures of riding a fine bridle horse someday."
