"We do not deny that the Bible records God doing some things that seem 'cruel.' However, we approach these things from a Biblcial perspective...and that is the key to understanding why God did and allowed these events." -Introduction of 'Response's to..'

@iluvpizza100 who says he's tortures them, you think so little of us poor disabled people you think we call out god because we think he gave us a bad deal like a person born Retarded because their mother chose to drink alcohol perhaps god should have stepped in then huh? Told her not to drink? You understand nothing and know nothing who put any of you doubters in charge who made you a scholar of GOD?

And finally, there was a Twilight Zone episode involving a town with a monster in the form of a little boy. Anyone who said or thought bad thoughts about the monster was turned into a grotesque figure, or at best, put into the "cornfield".
I sure hope God doesn't put me into the cornfield for this rant.

Another doubt that I have about God's goodness is the suffering of the innocent, especially Severely Disabled children. But of course, there is an "answer for everything". It starts out with the assumption that God is good, so therefore He must be torturing them for a reason. It really is for their own good!!!

God sentences people to eternal torture for a lot less than Hitler did. The usual response to this is "Well, His ways are not our ways" - meaning He thinks differently than we think. Basically, God set HIMSELF as the scale of right and wrong.
OK, if we lived in a universe where God was Hannibal Lector, would that standard of right and wrong be OK?? Is it right to call God good simply because there is no higher power???

Is God cruel? I guess I am kind of confused on that one. I have seen many people turn around in life and become better people, and believe that the complete condemnation of any human being, is wrong. I don't believe any human being is so wholly evil as to justify eternal punishment. Even someone like Hitler, whose sin was so great - maybe 10,000 years in torture chamber? Then check again to see if it did any change in his character.

The authors of this video are bad lawyers for Yahweh, first they pettifog the shit out of each issue then say "see the big picture."

"Oh of course you silly atheists, god IS cruel sometimes. But it's our fault for not following their guidlines, which are of course written by men."
Pathetic religious excuses for justifying genocide, homophobia and slavery. Sickens me.

"Like other surrounding nations...until they were destroyed they would continue to stand against god and his plan leading to the salvation of humanity."
Complete and utter bullshit!
