episode 3
Mom had everything ready for us to just sit down and eat, "morning miss G" demi said, she was back to her usual self. "mornin demi" mom said giving her a small hug. My mom acted our age more than she did her own, sometimes it was annoying, but i knew she was always there for me. i watched as mom got into a deep conversation with demi about last night. Mom smiled at the right times, like when demi told her how mch she loved joe she commented little thhings, that didnt mean much to her but meant everything to demi, things like "well my sons luck to have you" and "joe loves you just as much as he loves his mommy"
The 2 months that followed were okai, i got closer to nick, me and demi's friendship was stronger than ever. school was the same, up until yesterday, me and demi were walking along to the toilet -i found that i needed to go pee alot more- when 2 younger girls came running past screaming something, they were almost hysterical so demi went running in. Somebody had set the toilets on fire and they were blazing badly, before i knew it the head teacher came running along to look for herself, me and demi evacuated the building and found nick and joe standing as close to the door as possible. Nick grabbed my hand and held me in his arms. i suddenly felt safe, and secure
"are you putting on wieght" nick asked, rubbing his hands over my stomach, id always been really slim, so when i gained wieght it was easily noticable. i looked down and realised he was right, i had put on wieght, i was surprised, id been sick a couple of times i assumed it was a stomach bug, so shouldnt i have lost the wieght with all the puking. it hit me then, but i refused to believe it, my time of the month hadn't came -i put it down to the stomach bug- id been sick a few times and i was gaining weight, it was obvious and my whole body was screaming it but i didnt want to believe it, if only i had my fone, i could of phoned mom told her to pick me up, told her what was wrong, but i lost my phone the night of nicks party.
"maybe" i managed to choke out. how could i be .... it was impossible, i was only 15, i wasn't ready. We got told school was going to be closed for a while so me and nick walked back to nicks while joe and demi went to ours. We had been at nicks for about an hour, we were settled down watchin the notebook, when joe came runing in, demi was by his side
"selena, i need a word with you" he said, he looked anxious. "man cant it wait, selena loves this part of the film" nick looked at him. "sure" joe mumbled then sat down with demi. I looked at demi and she shrugged her shoulders. She looked agitated, she always did whe joe wouldnt tell her anything. i gave up and sat down. Joe left after 10 minutes with demi, they only went to the kitchen but that gave me enough time to speak with nick.
"how do you feel about being a dad" i asked, looking up at him. yes thats right, my conclusion to all of this was that i was pregnant. "well" he looked down at me staring into my eyes "id love to be a dad one day, but just now i think its stupid, i mean were only 15 ... we shouldn't need to think about kids ... why"
"just wondering" i said, i suddenly felt sick, i couldnt tell him now, not after what he said, it would only hurt him. I felt tears prickling up in my eyes and i stood up "im away to get some-thing to eat" i said to him, he just nodded his head looking at me, he knew something was rong but he didnt mention it. I walked to the kitchen were joe and demi were standing glaring at one another. great joe's upset demi.
"selena, you free to talk now" joe asked without taking his eyes off demi, both of them stood there not moving. "sure" i replied, watching them both. Demi turned around, i noticed she had tears in her eyes, she nodded at me and left. We waited in silence until i could see her outsiide the front of the house. She was calming down.
"i found your fone" joe said "oh and dont worry about me and demi, it has nothing about what im away to tell you, she's just upset at me cause i wont tell her" he threw the fone at me, then started speaking again "do you remember anything from that night at nicks party"
