See watch?v=W9UUeUaXdcs for what the similarly-symbolled ATV were doing east of the Atlantic at the time. The same extremely dated "Hey, we're in colour!" aspect was apparent on both sides.

@BeingOStupid You're not the only one.I've even scared of this logo even I have go to comments, turn the volume down and scroll down until that logo can't be seen...

GOD. That scared the crap out of me.

you know its old when they still have to state that its in color. kinda like when a microwave says it has "solid state electronics"

The Announcer for this "in-color" presentation was Bob Hite (Sr.), radio and atelevision announcer and anchor for CBS from 1944-1979. Before coming to CBS, Hite was the radio narrator of the Lone Ranger, Green Hornet, The Shadow, Yukon Challange and more at WXYZ Detroit.

As some already noticed, this is the slightly spedup version used in recent years during CBS anniversaries and the like. Both non edited versions are on here too. In this one, the pause between each letter is shortened and the fanfare plays during the voicer, where in the original it plays after the voicer. Just thought i'd add for those who haven't seen it.
Even though this is one of the less exciting "in color" tags from the US networks, this is my favourite, second to NBC's living Color.

My local CBS station (CBS 3 Philadelphia, PA) showed this in 2008 when they moved to their new studios, from the Independence Mall studios on 5th and Market to their newer facilities in Spring Garden.

I remember seeing this on "Kids Say the Darndest Things" Bill Cosby edition. I think I remember seeing this on "The Price Is Right" back in 1998 as well.

Colour?!! Sweet!

CBS's lame attempt to copy NBC's "in living color" sign on.
