Thank you "heavyhaultrucker" for your candid comments. I shot this raw footage and I'm still so upset and grieving for this family, crying every day I think about it and all the other cars and trucks they passed me on this stretch. Some of you know who you are. I saw your cars behind the truck when I ran down to the scene to help. Do you recognize this truck from your past travels? It has 12 tires in the rear--3 together times 4 where most semi's have 8 in the back, if you know what I m

trucks are governed at 105 km/hr here in Canada, unless you drive a semi do not judge as you have no idea what it takes to control. My husband was a driver & the 4 wheelers think they own the road by cutting off need to understand & not be so quick to judge they CANNOT stop on a friggen dime. This is a terrible accident & can guarantee the drive may never drive again due to this.l Trucks do swerve how would you judge then if he did hit wildlife?

@purplishhue Semi trailers do NOT swerve for wildlife under any circumstance. The eyewitness accounts clearly described the semi trailer going out of control into the family's lane at a high rate of speed. I log 80000km a year on BC highways, usually driving 10-15km/h over the limit in my passenger truck, and continue to be passed by semi trailers. I think its time Canada mandated speed governors on semi's like the USDOT has done in the US. 100 km/h max. Period. Stop the carnage.
