Our imported 5.5Kw heater pump. An example of how quiet they are. We bring in the spares for these units and warranty them with the manufacturers warranty behind us of course.
Just install with the plumbing and electrics, make sure it is full of water (get rid of the air), set the temperature, switch on your pool/pond/spa pump and leave it to do its business.
Ambient air temp should be 20 degree to heat a pool up from cold to gain the most effieciency.
This Chlorine free (see our other videos for the chlorine free system) demo pool is 4.5m diameter and 1.2m deep so the volume of the pool is 19m3 (4,222 imp gals) or 20,000 litres for ease of reckoning. The 5.5kw lifted the temp from 11 degree to 14 degree overnight from approx 1700hrs (8th/05/2010) the day before to 1000hrs (9th/05/2010) the next day. The ambient air temp was approx 9 to 11 degree over night, so was not the most efficient temp to start heating a pool of this volume from cold.
Best and most efficient ambient air temp is 20 - 24 degrees which would give you the most efficiency..
