This is a great old Prohibition protest song written by Irving Berlin in 1920. Recorded at the Temple Theater in Viroqua, WI, this is one of the selections from a concert performed by the Golden Gate Rhythm Machine on August 1, 2007. Personnel are: Scott Anthony-leader/banjo, Bob Hirsch-piano, Bob Schulz-cornet, Tom Bartlett-trombone, Jim Rothermel-reeds, Mike Walbridge-tuba, and Ray Templin-drums.

  • Well done! I've watched several videos of this song, and this is by far my favorite!! I wish i could clearly hear all the backing musicians, but that said, I love the diversity of the instrument solos, and even the chord progressions differ slightly from the way i play this on guitar, which makes me want to work on my own version. Well done gentlemen!
