Way back in the olden days they used to make these records in one sitting. There was no recording this piece here and that piece there. Musicians and singers all got together and banged it out all at once. That's why these old records kick ass like nothing today. Since Aretha's day women have been trying to sing like her and failing miserably. There is only one First Lady of Soul.
