RANT! (or, How Sane is the Local Psychiatrist????)

This short film is certainly not for everyone... Rant is best described as a strange Art-House Comedy that begs the question - "How sane is your local psychiatrist?" Written by Johnny Sexton, this early internet short was produced and edited by the Icon Johnny Company.

A bartender gives the prologue, which, compares bartending to the psychiatric community... (and, of course the psychiatrist confesses to.., or should we say, rambles on about having a bit of a drinking problem so it is appropriate, perhaps, that this little film begins with a bartender speaking poorly about psychiatrists.) In Rant we get a strange glimpse into the head of Dr. Beirce, a psychiatrist, as he accidentally hits the record button on his video camera while setting up to interview a patient at a state run mental facility. His video camera observes some rather peculiar human behavior, his own. As the scene progresses, the camera appears to go crazy as it records the psychiatrist's mental roller coaster ride of a melt-down!

... The rant appears to be going on within the psychiatrist's head and it's ID VERSES EGO as the dysfunctional Dr. Beirce struggles to maintain sanity in his mundane, repetitive would. This digital short is packed with enough OCD for everyone to enjoy.

Rant stars Matt O'Hare as the whimsical Dr. Beirce.
