If you use Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo mail (or any systems that use these services), you can set Firefox to properly recognize Mailto links when you want to send email from a site. Here's how!
The long string of text that you need to paste can be found on my site here: http://www.HelpMeRick.com/set-firefox-to-recognize-web-mail-for-mailto-links.htm
FF 10.0.2 This didn't work for me. I didn't get the option to add the new application.
Also, the "java..." text you entered in the video is not the same text on your site.
I use a .live account, not a .hotmail account. I'm not sure how much difference that makes, if any.

@afterdark25 I think I can. Instead of just copy and paste the link into your browser you have to save that code line as a bookmark url. Just open your bookmark window in Firefox and right-click somewhere in the main window and add a new bookmark. Give it any name you like and paste that line in the location field and click add. Now just open the bookmark you just saved and the popup will appear. This worked for me running Firefox 9.0.1!
