@CapitalBhoy78 That is without doubt the most sensible thing youve said in the discussion we have had and gives me hope for you! However the violence should be stopped regardless of a vote, votes are achieved through political means and government by a rule will rarely give way to terrorist violence which would only open the door to other would be insurgents. So in effect, there is no excuse for murder to achieve goals, there never was and never shall be, and it certainly shouldnt be glorified
@bigderekkeene They should give the people of Northern Ireland, aswell as Scotland, a vote on independence on whether to remain part of the union or not. If both show a vast majority that they want to remain part of the union then I would concur that they should stop the violence. Opinion polls about 54% want to remain in the union or whatever it is doesn't really matter, a vote is official and should be done.
@CapitalBhoy78 So then when the Irish Republic is formed along with Northern Ireland homing a majority of those wishing to remain with Britain, what justification have the Provosionals in conducting their murderous campaign? The Irish Republic they dream of exists, they need only cross a border to live there yet they conduct a bombing campaign to ''liberate'' people from a land where the majority want nothing to do with their plans. Fuckin idiots wouldnt you say?
@bigderekkeene I didn't say there was anything democratic about what the IRA have done but no Britain invasion of Ireland = no IRA needed formed. Simple.
@CapitalBhoy78 I had already done so earlier when i told you that i disagreed with great deal of the things that ''governments'' have done and the way they have used and exploited the bravery of their armed forces. So you know where i stand on that, so to retort, how about you answer or at the very least open you mind to facts and truths as they are in the real world and not as they are in your head
@CapitalBhoy78 And could you tell me what exactly is democratic about the IRA blowing women and children up in their quest for unified Ireland, despite the fact the majority in Northern Ireland want no part of it?
@bigderekkeene Facts inside your own mind doesn't make them facts in reality. I denied them because you ignore the murdering of civilians that the British Army have ever done (roughly a million times more than the IRA have ever done in their history) because you see that as "liberation" I'm sure. Good ol' US and UK democracy huh?
