@newguy33X My grandpa was diagnosed with Prostate cancer two years ago, and he instantly got treated. He had one of the worst cases in all of B.C - yet he survived it - for free.
@faithisnotonfire ...and many diagnostic imaging companies in the U.S. have technicians lying back with their feet up waiting for business, happy to take a cash payment. On the bad side there, it's because insurance companies block people when they can too. On the plus side, many people would scrounge up the money to get their daughter checked out properly. The techies are too busy in Canada, it takes too long for some to get scans and tests...that's one downside for you.
I'll throw an anecdote into the ring. A friend from residence in university died at age 20 from cancer. She and her family begged doctors for almost a year to give her some sort of x-ray or chest scan because her breathing was bad and she felt tired and weak. By the time they bothered to look, she was a terminal case. If it was the culture to do so, they could have slapped the money down and TOLD them to do the scan...
@newguy33X So what exactly is your problem then? There's no need to bitch about how much our health care sucks, bleh bleh bleh - when in reality people are dying every day in other country's from just infected cuts. I'm not complaining, I know that when I get hurt I'll be treated - other countries have it a hellallot worse then Canadians and Americans do.
The difference between American and Canadian Healthcare is Canadians don't have to choose between death or bankruptcy.

How dare he charge a person who wants something that they can pay for?! Send him to the cells! Behind bars he belongs!

@newguy33X And I can see I'm talking to someone who obviously hasn't lived somewhere other then Canada.

@faithisnotonfire I can see I'm dealing with a very rational, long-term thinker here, who's got sound arguments. I yield.
