September 11th: As Seen From Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey

After I got home from school on September 11th 2001, I asked my mom if we could go over to Atlantic Highlands to see what was going on. I brought my camcorder along and shot this piece of history. In this movie you can see lower Manhattan in smoke and what I believe to be World Trade Center Seven collapsing.

After almost six years in my pantry, I found the tape that contained this footage. I think the most interesting part of this movie is the fact that no one in it really knew what was going on or what might happen next. It's pretty scary to not know what's going to happen next, and I haven't thought much about it until I saw this movie again.

PLEASE DO NOT CRITICIZE THE QUALITY OF MY FILMING. I know it's shaky and sometimes goes out of focus, so you don't have to remind me. I was only 16 and not very good at filming major tragedies yet. Thanks ;)
