The fds has a lot of potential, it adds only one extra sound channel but the waveforsm is completely custiomizable. You can replicate a load of instruments with it.

no box!!??? YAY but AWWW

@zaphod77 Naw man this version being higher makes the game sound more divine as a whole. Especially the town theme. It's all opinion but I find the fds music fits the game better and pulls you in much more.

This sounds best to me!
It makes me wanna find an FDS emulator and all the games.

The night song sux compared to the nes version.

@zaphod77 well the US/EU version has only 2 drum samples, the kick drum and snare drum (btw, the snare drum uses the noise channel to make the snare sound richer)
-
@moviemovies1 Hmm. i just tested myself. and yes, the kick drum is present in the FDS version, in most tunes. however, the US version has MORE drum samples, which vastly improve the sound, while the JP version only has the kick, and uses the other samples for the disk system sound channel.
WHAT A HORRIBLE NIGHT TO HAVE A CURSE.

I disagree. NES ver is much better for this game. NES has DPCM drums for the win, and just sounds more full to me. FDS is definitely superior for zelda games and Metroid, (except for escape tune).
