originally ment to showcase new technological principles it presented a fine opportunity to give it something more univerally fundamental to simply transcent its purpose. Softwares used pmG's messiah:Studio for animation and rendering, Pixologic's Zbrush for modeling displacement maps.

  • hes not saying anything about a god, just earth. Its about all people being equal. Technically, in scientific terms, its like the earth created us. Its atoms are recycled to make humans, and whatever else needs be created. (its not a monotheistic message)

  • are you guys idiots? It's amazing: backwards, prehistoric people like you are able to use the internet. Keep your BS ideas inside your mud huts where they belong.

  • I'll admit, in stumbleupon I was one second away from ragequitting away from the page when they said "one single artist" and was relieved they did NOT say god.

  • Well that was fucking weird...

  • who gives a fuck why we are here just live

  • looool stumbleupon

  • Dam serious stuff going on here ! Great work !

  • Very well and artistically done. The morphing was quite good.

Uncanny valley? AH, robotics, yes. It's a showcase for displacement, not for perfect human replacement.

Eitherway, it took 7 days altogether from coming up with the method, creating the setup, thinking up the lyrics, recording them, animating and designing the faces along the way to final render and composite. However, I've never intended or even assumed I could replace a real human, especially not for my personal exercises. I find it exciting to create a sense of life.
