Pileated Woodpecker mating dance. They get interrupted by a third woodpecker, who is chased away. They did this dance for about ten minutes before flying away.

  • U sure that's a mating dance. I watch red shafted flickers alot. They almost hav same call. Very similar in the way they act. Early in the morning when light but no sun yet u'll see three or four males doing this same thing. They'll make a wika wika wika wika sound. Not the flick flick flick sound that repeats about 12 times or so.
