For my book "The Sinner's Grand Tour," I scoured Paris to find the legendary "sex chair" of the English Prince of Wales -- the future King Edward VII. This extraordinary device was built in the 1880s so that "Dirty Bertie" (as he was nicknamed) could visit his favorite brothel, Le Chabanais, without crushing the girls with his enormous bulk.
