I do business, in media, in video editing, and I have seen year on year profit jump by more than 100%. And if you actually knew anything about business you wouldnt discount any cash outflow as peanuts. Its this thought process that brings companies down. And if you actually think that 95% profit loss and $2.9 billion dollar operating loss is acceptable in any situation, for the sake of god, stop commenting about business.
perhaps you're missing the point. do u think sony didnt realise this would be more expensive than cgi or animation? or any cheaper form of advertising? im sure their business knowledge far exceeds your own.
clearly they took into account what they would gain from doin it the expensive way and decided it was worth the extra money. which is,btw, fuck all money to a company like sony. fuck all.
You know what, the reason for the entire global financial crisis is because people who didnt understand the basic of business were doing business in top financial institutions of the world. You understand business better when you are playing with ur own money like I do. Just because its a big company doesnt mean they could not have hired some fools to run it.
no it wasnt, it was because people who understood business perfectly decided to loan people money who could not pay it off, because theyre greedy cunts. aswell as this there are literally thousands of other factors, some that couldnt be interpreted by anybody, that all contributed to the gfc.
and to claim that a company with a turnover the size of sony's is run by fools is fuckin ridiculous.
Have a look at the toyota advert. "It just works" or something. After they had made it they showed it to the top guys and their first reaction was "Thats some top class animation" or something like that. This kind of things simply dont matter when you are advertising enmass.
I told you "I may not know shit about advertising" and not "I dont know". And the the point of my first comment was related to the cost of doing it. So unless u scratching ur nails at the end of the barrel for an argument u'll see the point of all my comments.
i am, its true. just really fukn bored. good arguing with u man. u defs raised some fair points. still this ad is sick. also it was made in 2007, atm i doubt sony is blowing big bucks on big ads. everyone is keeping their wallets close.
mate if u knew shit about business u would know that the cost of making this ad would be fukn peanuts to sony. and thers a reason for 95% drop in profits, its called the global financial crisis. and dont try and argue that animation can be more real than real life, by definition you're wrong.
