I got a free Hammond Organ!! After some cleaning this thing works and sounds great!

I just grabbed this reall dusty old hammond the other day, from an abandoned house, and i don't know what model it is..

i wasn't able to locate the manufacture date tag anywhere..

.but anyway its got all metal pullbars, and its got tubes, and a motor and two switches to turn it on.

it plays pefectly...every key ..

think it's worth anything?

I got one of the last T series Hammond spinet organ as I am about to replace the drawbars set as the originals are jammed up and stuck. I love those type of rocker tabs and leaf tabs as they are so cool! I would prefer no vacuum tubes as I want transistors.

@patsaxon Eh, you might be able to get the current ones working. Just be careful, sites may tell you to use detoxit contact cleaner on your drawbars, but DON'T! Thats for the old organs that have metal drawbars, these newer ones are plastic and the detoxit actually eats the plastic and kills them. Also, look into modding it. I've got mine sounding just about how I want it.

Iv just picked up a T 100 series . Its got mice shit in and dead spiders all over it. Not to sure if I should chuck it out or restore it.

@themilksnatcher Mine smells like mouse piss when I turn it on. Adds to the charm haha. Also, vacuums take care of moush shit.

I love my L-102. It, too, was free. Maybe if I keep looking on Craigslist, I'll end up with a C or B series.

@terrapinboots people can't hardly give these things away. The fact is that in the 20th century you can make a guitar sound just like one of these. I have a giveaway one too while they are cool and all its more of a cool thing to have to just record with or to play in the house. worth a little money to just the right buyer a collector or something maybe.
