A fugue I wrote as part of a lute suite. I composed the piece on guitar, and the writing is completely idiomatic and feasible for classical guitar performance if the sixth string is tuned down to d. The preludio to this fugue is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5St42UEbUcQ&feature=related

  • Wow, you manage to write fugues.. Have you studied music?

  • @Nammedit Yes, briefly. I studied classical guitar at The Boston Conservatory of Music for a year. I dropped out :)

  • another elegant piece. Thank you!

  • que lindo! :')

  • wow, that sounded pretty good

  • Hi Paul,

a wonderful piece - 5 stars (or 6 if possible).

however the altered bass lines are to complicated for me as a beginner on the theorbo. well, there is still a huge demand for easy and challangeing small pieces for beginners at the theorbo. the theorbe has a beautiful sound, but the lowest bass octave is restricted to a diatonic scale (as in the earliest harpsichords), and, before playing, is adjusted to the key of the piece.

regards from Berlin have a great new year - Siegfried
