Brita Water Filter Test

(the two cups in the middle have no filter, the two on the ends of the table have the new filter, the other two have the old filter)

College life, a Brita water filter ended up in our fridge. I wanted to see if it actually makes a difference or if people buy it merely because it mentally makes them feel better. Watch and enjoy. Sorry I'm lame in it, I'm still getting used to the whole "I'm on camera" stuff.

I shot this with my Canon T2i, the middle section with the echos is the camera's mic, the rest is with a different mic.

would you say the new filter replacement would cause a wierd taste for the first 10 cups due to the filtration chemicals? Why did it turn the water black on your first cup?

@ronquillo510 The filter contains very fine black sand type stuff that does the filtering. I imagine the black color was just from those. Since it was the first time use all of the extra fine sand escaped out, hence the need to soak it for 15 minutes.

Well, my roommates could tell a difference. I could too. If you drink lots of water then I'd say it's worth it. Hope this helps :)
