Postmus addressing the County Board of Supervisors one month prior to being arrested for suspected meth., found during a search of his home by Sheriff's deputies. Postmus, later resigned in disgrace and admitted his drug use for the past three years, and a couple of stints in rehab, while he served as the Assessor and as Supervisor of the county.
He hired staff unqualified to do their jobs and faces prosecution along with several former members of his executive support. The suit claims he and staff bilked county taxpayers out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
In a lame-duck move after being served he said, "I'm looking forward to the discovery process . . . and exposing the Board of Supervisors for their misdeeds."
