@JAT763 Well said.But if such a plan were implemented,many people would protest against the violence.It seems to me that many people can't face the fact that violence is,at times,a necessary condition for improving otherwise appalling conditions.

instead of all this nonsense why doesnt the UN do its job and go kill them some warlords so the food and medicine drops stop getting seized. the impoverished african countries are impoverished because of corrupt governments. you want poverty to end, train the locals and overthrow those governments. otherwise every cent given will just go right in the pockets of psycho dictators who use 10 year olds as soldiers.

That's totally unjustified, Yes. there rich. well done for noticing that. But this is a video around Live 8, which was a massive event that over 3 billion people attended. and that is a massive commitment to make happen and they raised alot of publicity for there cause.
These celebrities set in motion those 3 billion donations through this, so instead of you being so self righteous & undermining of peoples efforts, how about YOU go out and do something beneficial for the world

Everyone is complaining and bitching about how these are celebrities in this ad, they're so rich and they don't give a damn, blah, blah, blah. Even if they did get paid, at least they're using their high proflie status to get this issue back into the public eye.
If there were just a bunch of 'normal' people in this, as sad as it sounds, it wouldn't be as popular. Not as many people would have paid attention.
Maybe you could act on this, instead of bitching about the people who already have.

you do no that the celebrities in this video did NOT get paid.. they did it voluntararly so all you people bitchin about them.. Just think they actually doing something and look at Brad Pitt... he done something for these kids.
