What ever happened to Letters to Cleo?
-
@jimmyplanet yup it definitely was me, yeh this is a great cover song though, Yeah Benjamin Orr is my favorite and I am so disappointed and sad that he is gone. My favorite are between the first two and then next in line would be the next two. I wonder how many people on this page know who the CARS are

And that Bloke was you LOL! I was totally bummed to hear that Benjamin Orr died. I'm a huge Elliot Easton fan and Ric Ocasek too. What a great concoction of talent. I still listen to many cars albums and candy-o is still my favorite. the first song I ever played live on guitar as a freshman in high school was 'just what I needed." recently my band friends from HS flew in to chicago from all over - to play at our 25th HS reunion and that was one of the songs we played..such fun!

you're totally right. I wasn't thinking most people would care if it were 1977 or 'the early 80's-the CARS were WAY more than pop. Guess I didn't take the time to make that clear. Most people on this page are probably just interested in Letters to Cleo.I LOVE letters to cleo and their version of Dangerous Type is MORE than just good. They took it and made it their own, and it a GREAT way. I was just responding to the bloke who asked if anyone knew who did the original.

@jimmyplanet the CARS formed in early 1977, and were already around in the early 80s. The arent just an 80s band and definitely not a pop band. The girl did a good job, she should've been bigger. Im a huge fan of the CARS, therefore Im not going to compare her to the CARS. the CARS Candyo was one of the best albums of 1979 and remained on the billboard charts for a longtime afterwards.

The cars were a band from the early 80's and were way ahead of their time. If you like this song, chances are you'd like others from the album this originally was released on..an album called Candy O, in 1979...however it isn't as good when 4 hot chicks aren't walking in slow motion! LOL!!

this is a great cover but i bet no one knows who did the original

@EmilyM350 Same! I was born in the 90's and don't we feel special?I dooooo! :D
Along with this movie I love Practical Magic! But I am completly obsessed with this one! The Craft is the best! <3
haha i love this movie so much! when i was a lot younger, i used to listen to this on my mp3 player and walk in slow motion at school like the the witches did. i was obsessed with this movie. i even tried to make my friends play "light as a feather, stiff as a bored" lol

Fairuza has not been in any movies in awhile now. I know she was in American History X, The Waterboy and some other movies. I think a lot of why we don't see her in movies anymore is because of roles of the characters she acted in. Society STILL has a complete DOUBLE STANDARD for women. When a man plays a villain he's considered a total bad ass, and totally cool. When a woman plays a villain? She's a cunt, a whore etc, I think People FORGET it's acting, not the way they really are in real life.
