This is a 260Z running after hooking up some wires under the hood and giving it some gas from a small hand carry gas tank. I have no idea how long this car sat waiting for parts to be stripped off of it in the Salvage Yard, but it runs awesome.
Needs some adjustment. Notice the lifter tap. That will be adjusted before it gets on the road again.
Needs some tuning, but this is the best $600 I have ever spent.

  • why is it doubled

  • why is it doubled?

  • the valves ticking,

  • Yes. Taken care of. But, what you really heard in the video was an exhaust leak. 90% of that sound was gone when I welded that up.

The valves were out a bit too, and I could really hear it when it was cold in the mornings.

That was the first time starting the car after taking it straight from the salvage yard. I was shocked that it ran at all.

  • Ran like that straight from the yard. No joke. I couldn't believe it either!

Runs much better now. I have a Holley fuel pump, cleaned out the fuel system, tuned the carbs, gave it a good tune up. The old car is a champ.

  • Awesome, now hook it up to a proper fuel system and ignition.

What did you need to do to it to get it running this good? there is no way it ran like this straight from the yard!
