Adorable Baby Elephant HD

About 4 weeks old here, in an Elephant Rehabilitation center just outside of Chiang Mai, Thailand.

actually its quite the opposite. This is in a refuge place in thailand. they go on walks that last miles and miles daily, culminating in a giant bath in the river for tourists to see. he's just in the coup cuz he's a baby.

100 times better than any zoo anywhere else in the world.

Thanks for the explanation. So many elephants are NOT treated well at all in Thailand. Is this the place in Chiang Mai or Lampang?

All elephant trekking companies want to have baby elephants because tourists want to pet them. The problem is, baby elephants need to be by their mother's side for many years, just like that are in the wild. I see that the mother (I assume) is in the pen with this baby. Sorry for assuming the worst, that's what usually happens in Thailand. :-(

Just outside Chiang Mai. Yeah youre correct many places there treat them like dogs. This place emphasizes the good care of elephants. And the tourists come to watch them have fun. They said the baby will be kept in isolation with its mother for more than a year. after a few weeks they move it to a larger pen and slowly merge it into the larger elephant population.
