Can you do another Heavy Cover Lid Test? Instead of accidentally knocking the cup over, the scenario is you freak out from eating bad wild mushrooms and hit the spiders crawling all over your canteen cup repeatedly with a camp axe.

Hey, if you leave the lid on when its over a fire, will the heating up of the metal melt the plastic lid? (assuming no flames are directly hitting the lid)

@JustinBaker2567 If you are using hot coals you will be ok, but not directly in the fire. It is temperature safe to an extent. They are having a metal lid made, it is in production now, and should be available in a couple of months. It is a unique design and should work great for straight in the fire cooking.
