Actually , they didn't mention that having pubic hair reduces your chances of getting an infection . Pubic Hair is there for a reason ,it keeps dirt and bacteria out of your vagina. those who shave it all off are much more prone to infection.

Since many still naively believe promiscuity could make them happier and is often rated as a sign of 'success', by hiding natural personal smell (pubic-& underarm hair removal & deodorants) many unconsciously try to attract partners that aren't biologically compatible => fleeting, unfullfilling affairs & many divorces.
Also since pubic hair indicates maturity, cutting it of shows minority, the desire to subordinate to be lead and fed by a provider, the "patriarch" or "matriarch".
