The USA funded the Mujahideen through drug to fight the former Soviet Union. CIA's biggest bank Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI) - was used for laundering drug money. Former USA president Jimmy Carter was the co-chairman of the BCCI. In order to provide banking expertise was a Pakistani banker Agha Hassan Abedi was its chairman. As soon as the war ended BCCI folded.

This is absolutely true, 5 of my friends JUST got back from Afghanistan and ALL said they werent there for any terrorists or insurgents period. They all confirmed that they were there for Large Drug busts containing HEROINE.
