This is one of my favourite songs by the Godfather of Mod (or just simply Modfather), Mr. Paul Weller (ex-frontman of The Jam and Style Council). He's no doubt one of those versatile Brits from the 80's era. This is Brand New Start (acoustic) from BBC Four's Sessions 2008 and I would like to take this opportunity to dedicate this song to everyone for 2009 and the Chinese New Year (Year of the Ox) which falls on Jan 26th 2009 (Monday).

brilliant song! it sounds to me like he's telling himself he'll do it and pleading with himself at the same time, i had it on cd for years but only really started to pay attention and grew to love this song when i'd had enough of the mess i'd made and wanted to change. good luck to anyone in the same situation!
