Tom Waits - Pony

Tom Waits - Pony. Really one of my favorite songs. Just a beautiful simple bluesy song. "I've lived on nothing but dreams and trainsmoke, somehow my watch and chain got lost..." just really gets me... maybe I was a hobo in some other life...

Now I'm pretty far from being Tom Waits, but i hope you like it... I enjoyed playing it.

thanx... It's a beautifull song indeed...

It's just so full of life, regret and being homesick, it makes me remember thing I haven't accually done, (like riding on trains, roaming the country and so on... Guess that's what make it art instead of a pop-song.

this is well done. i imagine in standard.

ive tried to play it on D tuning, vestapol. its hard to get it down. but very good none the less. i can learn a lot for this approach.

It just a great song to sing. I actually just use standard tuning with a capo on the sixth fret. That's not the way it's supposed to be played but it's the only way i can get my voice to suit the song. Guess some singing lessons couldn't hurt. ;-) thanks for commenting!
